What is Online Bingo?
Online Bingo is one of the most popular casino games in the world. Playing online bingo is almost the same as in a real bingo hall with the only difference that you can play it from your PC sitting at home. You only need to download the online bingo software or java or flash version and register your new player's account to start bingo. The rules are the same as in real bingo.
Basically, players buy cards with numbers on them in a 5 x 5 grid corresponding to the five letters in the word B-I-N-G-O. Numbers are then drawn at random out of the possible numbers until one player completes a 'Bingo' pattern and wins the prize. There are many possible bingo patterns to play for.
A bingo Card contains 24 numbered spaces and one free space to play BINGO. The numbers are assigned at random on each card. The numbers in the B column are between 1 and 15, in the I column between 16 and 30, in the N column between 31 and 45, in the G column between 46 and 60, and in the O column between 61 and 75. Players have thousands of unique cards to choose from.
When playing online, bingo cards are randomly selected. Most online games give 3 or 4 cards. Every online bingo game has a caller or a display board for the bingo numbers. The game pattern is also displayed. Some games automatically mark the numbers on your card for you.
There are two types of bingo games played around the world. North America plays 75-ball bingo on a 5x5 card with the centre square usually marked 'free'. In UK and Australia, they play a 90-ball bingo game, marked on a 9x3 card. Both types of bingo are available online.
There are about 100's of bingo patterns. Some of the most popular bingo patterns are given below. There are basically three types of bingo card patterns:
Static or standard bingo patterns: These bingo patterns cannot be moved or shifted on the Bingo card and are won only when every square of the pattern on the card is covered.
Crazy bingo patterns: These bingo cards allow the pattern to be rotated in 90 degree increments for a winning bingo pattern match.
Wild bingo patterns: These bingo cards have scattered patterns. The bingo pattern stays in the same place but can be located anywhere on the card.
Some of the bingo patterns examples are airplane, arrow, bar bell, bow tie, cactus, coverall, double bingo, waterfall, turtle, straight corners, pyramid, mini diamond, picnic tables, kite, ladder, letters L, M, N, P, S, T, W, X etc, frame inside, happy face, stamp, nine pack, six pack, and many more.
Bingo is such a popular game, and prizes range from children’s toys, to cars, to thousands of dollars in cash.
